"Beautiful Girl" is a previously unreleased song by Michael Jackson, released as the 55th track on The Ultimate Collection.

The song was written and recorded in 1998 for Invincible, although it didn't make the cut.

The booklet for The Ultimate Collection says the song was recorded for the last time in 2004, although it's not confirmed if it's the version we hear on the box set or the Invincible demo.

Footage of Jackson showcasing the song was featured in a 2005 interview with Geraldo Rivera.

The song was finally released in 2004 as part of The Ultimate Collection.

The song was first written, co-produced with Quincy Jones and recorded in 1987 for the Bad album. It was completely re-written and re-recorded in 1990 for Dangerous, although it didn't make the cut. It was reworked for the last time in April of 1992, to be released as a promotional single a month later. The song is co-produced with Steve Porcaro, who previously made Human Nature, with which Dream Away shares many similarities. The song was co-written and produced by Babyface and recorded in 1996. It was featured in the opening credits for the Spike Lee movie, Get On The Bus, released the same year.
